10 to 10:15 a.m. – Learn fundamental cooking skills, including selection, prep and storage for seasonal farmers market vegetables and more in the train shed patio.
10:30 to 11 a.m. – Join us for our chef-led cooking class offered every Saturday in the train shed patio, inspiring you to make your #WeeklyMarketMeal. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is kicking off our new “Coffee with Your…” series, where we invite local leaders and community figures to the market’s train shed demo area. Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information booth every week! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.

COMMUNITY BOOTHS
Community Emergency Service is a non-profit organization that runs a number of food programs for Minneapolis residents. We are looking for a variety of volunteers to help us in our mission to provide nutritious food to people in the Phillips community, which is the poorest community in Minneapolis.
The Friends of the Minneapolis Central Library provides accessible information on services and programs of this iconic community resource. Visit with staff and volunteers, play our Trivia Wheel game, win a free book and get a library card if you do not have one.
