Take an in-depth look at the historic Washburn A Mill complex and the award-winning Mill City Museum building. A guide will take visitors into the building's many nooks and crannies, highlighting the lives of the men and women who worked there, how the building functioned during its peak flour milling years and the many changes to the building over time. This is the only opportunity for a guided tour through the entire museum building and the only chance to see some of its nonpublic spaces.

ANGELA FLOURNOY is the author of The Turner House, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and a New York Times notable book of the year. The novel was also a finalist for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction and an NAACP Image Award. She is a National Book Foundation "5 Under 35" Honoree for 2015. Her fiction has appeared in The Paris Review, and she has written for The New York Times, The New Republic, The Los Angeles Times, and elsewhere.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Project My Neighborhood is fundraising for its #BlastingtoBattleBullying campaign. This event will include over 60 paintball bunkers and a 30 foot inflatable arena. Participants are 5 years of age and older. Three separate battlefields will be created in a safe, family-friendly, enclosed space: a small space ...for youngest children, a space for elementary to middle school children, and a space for high school students and adults.

The Aliveness Project will host its 23rd annual Dining Out For Life on April 27 with over 160 participating restaurants throughout the Twin Cities metro area, Duluth, and Mankato. Each restaurant generously donates 20-100% of their sales that day to help people living with HIV in Minnesota.
KARE11’s Sven Sundgaard and Rena Sarigianopoulos will return as Celebrity Spokespeople for Dining Out For Life Minnesota and will be joined by International Dining Out For Life Spokesperson Mondo Guerra, designer and Project Runway veteran.
Dining Out For Life is an international event benefiting over 60 AIDS service agencies throughout the United States and Canada. In 2016 Dining Out For Life Minnesota engaged over 40,000 diners, 250 volunteers, and raised over $270,000 for The Aliveness Project – making it one of the largest Dining Out For Life events.
