September 24, 2011, Saturday - Gabriel James at The Southern Theater

Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Location: The Southern Theater, 1420 Washington Avenue South

Gabriel James celebrates the release of his fourth full length studio album, "Claro," with his full band and special guests Megonia.

Gabriel James is a Minneapolis singer-songwriter backed by a gifted group of funky, jazzy musicians. With an extensive roster of clubs and venues strewn across the U.S., Gabriel has followed-up his refreshing songwriting style with intense live performances since 2002. After a musical hiatus following the release of ‘Fits to Pitch,’ Gabriel and his band are back in full swing with the release of his fourth full-length studio album, Claro. This release marks a distinct evolution in Gabriel’s songwriting: The album is a collection of tracks that displays an artist who has truly discovered his sound and his musical voice.

As a songwriter in an overcrowded genre, Gabriel and his band distinguish themselves with creative, catchy and honest songwriting, talent without the wanker, and live performances that are engaging and inspiring.
