First Thursdays in the Arts District

Yes, we will be open for First Thursday on July 3rd!  It is the perfect night to start the 4th of July weekend in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.

First Thursdays in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District is an Open Studio and Gallery Tour held the first Thursday of each month. Many NEMAA member artists and galleries (including a multitude of painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, ceramists, textile and fiber artists, jewelers, and furniture showrooms) open their studios at the Northrup King Building located in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.

The Northrup King Building will be dishing out complimentary watermelon to celebrate First Thursday in July!  Make your way to the main entrance and grab yourself a cold, refreshing slice!

Stop by the Red Stag Supper Club after First Thursday for late night music. The Red Stag Supper Club features Happy Hour 3pm - close and late night music at 10:00 PM. Pick up a wooden nickel for a free drink at the Red Stag Supper Club during First Thursday while supplies last. The Red Stag Supper Club is located at 509 1st Avenue NE, Minneapolis.

July 2, 2014, Wednesday - Wake-Up With Jacob! at Matties on Main

Time: 7:30pm - 9:00am

Join us for the next "Wake-Up With Jacob!" - a monthly community engagement event with Minneapolis City Council Member Jacob Frey.

July's Wake-up with Jacob will be all about public safety. We will be joined by many of our Third Ward public safety officials, including Inspector Medaria Arradondo of the First Precinct, Inspector Kathy Waite of the Second Precinct, and Crime Prevention Specialists Nick Juarez and Renee Allen.

Attendees may purchase bottomless coffee and a pastry item for $4.00. Please RSVP now to help us plan.

Time: Music 7:00pm; Movies air 15 minutes after sundown.
