Enjoy a weekend of cider, cocktail releases, live music, a pop-up dog park, and more at the Minneapolis Cider Company grand opening celebration. Come hang out, we’ll be the ones with a glass in hand.

FRIDAY:

We’re kicking-off the weekend right with the most unique cocktail party of the summer. This is the official debut of our cocktail program and our brand new spirit, Royale.

El Jefe Cocina & Bar will be serving up food from 4-9pm. In the first half of the evening, we’ll be sampling Royale and teaching you how to make some of our favorite cocktails.

At 8 we’re releasing our brand new Bourbon Barrel Aged Manhattan* and kicking-off the cocktail party.

Members of the Southside Aces Louis Armstrong Quintet will keep the party going inside while outside we’ll have campfire s’mores on the patio.

4-9pm: El Jefe Cocina & Bar
4-7pm: Royale Cocktail Demo & Sampling
8pm: New Cocktail Release // Oak Savannah // A barrel-aged, MN made riff on a manhattan.

SATURDAY:

Recover from Friday night and start Saturday right with Alchemy 365. They’re bringing their A10 class to the Cidery. All humans of all abilities welcome, just bring yourself and be ready to sweat.

Don’t worry too much though, you get a complimentary refreshing cider after.

After working our muscles it’s time to work our brains, we believe in balance here—after all. Enter Seed to Cider. Learn, experience, and see how cider is made first hand.

Try your hand at pressing apples, learn how to graft an apple tree, and enter for a chance to win an apple tree planted in your backyard by our very own Head Cider Maker, Rob Fisk.

Finally, we’ll dance the evening away with live music to celebrate our limited edition Bourbon Barrel Aged Cider.

SUNDAY:

Join us Sunday as we celebrate the end of a great weekend with your furry friend in tow. We’re extending our patio and creating a pop-up dog park at the Cidery, brunch from Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub, and Cider Bloody Marys (swear they’re good)! Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue of MN will be joining us with some darling pooches looking for a home.

This will be a fun day geared towards humans and dogs alike with plenty of toys, a puppy pool, pupsicles and MORE! This will be completely enclosed so all can relax, sip on some cider and enjoy the wagging tails.

Finally, we close out the weekend with the acoustic offerings of Joshua Schmidt as he kicks off a one month Sunday residency at Minneapolis Cider.

$1 from every drink will be donated to Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue of MN of Minnesota.

Explore the Washburn A Mill and the Minneapolis riverfront while completing a treasure hunt on this family-friendly walking tour. First, make a mini-journal and then discover treasure boxes and the stories of Minneapolis’s history along the tour route. Ticket price also includes admission to explore Mill City Museum after the tour. The tour is designed for ages 6-11, and children must be accompanied by an adult. The 90-minute tour includes no more than one mile of moderately-paced walking on uneven terrain. Please call ahead to make arrangements for guests with limited mobility. $14 adults, $12 seniors, $10 ages 5-17, includes museum admission.

Northrup King Building is home to over 300 Artists and Creatives. First Thursdays are a great night to visit the artists and discuss the process and inspiration behind the incredible art, and take home your one of a kind treasure. With Four Enormous Floors to explore, this history filled building is truly a Twin Cities iconic destination.

August 1st we will celebrate with "Create Your Own Ice Cream Sundae". Meet us at the Main Entrance where you have the opportunity to create your own complimentary ice cream sundae. We will scoop the ice cream, you pour on the toppings.

Bike With a Ranger

Come on out and bike with a ranger this summer! This program is a family-friendly way to explore the Mississippi River led by a park ranger. This ride will begin at The Commons in downtown Minneapolis where stops will be made to talk about the history of the river. Bikes and helmets will not be provided on this program.

Space is limited to 20 people. Please register and plan to arrive 15 minutes early in order to start the event on time. Bring your own bike and helmet or rent one from a nearby bike sharing platform.
