North Loop Neighborhood Association Board Meeting

North Loop Neighborhood Association (NLNA) Board of Directors holds monthly meetings on the last Wednesday of each month. All meetings are open to the public.

Public Hearing – September 27, 2017

At our regular board meeting on August 30th, the NLNA Board passed a motion to consider the reallocation of NRP and CPP funds to support Greening projects throughout the North Loop. This would include planting trees and flowers along the 800 and 900 blocks of N Washington Ave, and a large planting project at the intersection of I-394 and Washington Ave. Neighborhood beautification and greening has been identified as a priority for the North Loop.

  • Utilize NRP Phase II Parks, green space, and community gathering place NRP 2.1.1.2, 2.1.1.3, and 2.1.1.5 for the Greening project: $7,348
  • Reallocation of Commercial Development and Business 3.1.1.1 and 3.1.3.1 to 2.1.1.5 (Develop a tree plan and future green space plan): $14,695.
  • CPP Reserve funds to 2.1.1.5: $5,957
  • Total allocated to Greening Project: $28,000

The NLNA will hold a public hearing at its September 27th board meeting to receive neighborhood comment on the reallocation of funds described in this notice. Please attend to hear about all the greening going on in the North Loop!
