Join us at the Guthrie Theater to celebrate Chris Santiago, winner of the 2016 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry, and his debut collection of poems, Tula! The evening will feature a reception, reading, and conversation between Chris and contest judge A. Van Jordan.

Chris Santiago is the son of Filipino immigrants, and was raised in Bloomington. Possessing many talents, he is an accomplished percussionist and amateur jazz pianist, completed a PhD in English at the University of Southern California, and recently returned for a professorship at the University of Saint Thomas. Tula, his debut collection of poems about language, family, and the immigrant experience, announces the arrival of a major new literary talent.
