November 13, 2019, Wednesday - The Current Rock and Roll Book Club Essential Reads Reveal at Number 12 Cider

Time: 4 PM – 6:30 PM

Location: Number 12 Cider, 614 N 5th Street

The Current has asked you to tell us what the essential songs and albums are, and now we want to know: what are the all-time essential reads for music fans? Join us at Number 12 Cider on Wednesday, Nov. 13 for a free 4:00-6:30 p.m. happy hour event revealing the results of an upcoming poll.

From music memoirs to genre histories to novels set in record stores, we'll share the final list of the greatest rock, rap, R&B, jazz, and pop books...according to you. Host Jay Gabler, who talks about music books every Wednesday morning on The Current, will be joined by Jill Riley spinning vinyl, and we'll have a live performance by singer-songwriter Al Church. Mark your books, mark your calendars, and watch for the launch of our Essential Reads poll!

The Current Rock and Roll Book Club Essential Reads is presented with support from AARP MN.
