May 9, 2018, Wednesday - 2018 Move Minneapolis Transportation Summit

Time: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Location: Orchestra Hall - Target Atrium, 1111 Nicollet Mall

2018 Move Minneapolis Transportation Summit

The 2018 Move Minneapolis Transportation Summit is downtown's most important gathering for the employers, operators, advocates and commuters who make Minneapolis move. Downtown Minneapolis is facing the future of transportation today. A massive, four-year I-35W refresh, exciting bus rapid transit lines, a new vision for dockless bike sharing and much more make multimodal transportation a hot topic in downtown boardrooms and breakrooms. Join us for lunch and get the latest news!

Keynote speaker Robin Hutcheson is Director of Public Works for the City of Minneapolis. Hutcheson believes deeply in the power of investment in public rights of way to achieve broad community goals. She drives transportation infrastructure innovation to improve safety and access for everyone. Hutcheson has extensive public and private-sector experience planning and building sustainable transportation solutions for a broad sampling of US and European cities. She will share what’s planned for downtown streets, from bike share to bus rapid transit, to protected bike lanes and a better pedestrian environment.

MnDOT's Aaron Tag and Metro Transit's Christina Morrison will speak to impending 35W@94 Downtown to Crosstown project impacts – and how transit and multimodal choices will be your best bets for a smooth commute during construction.

Visit with transportation exhibitors before and after lunch to discover modes that will help your workforce thrive. RSVP early: seats are limited. Questions? Contact Bill Andre: 612.859-0656 / bill@moveminneapolis.org.
