May 10, 2018, Thursday - 4th Annual Jr Iron Chef Competition

Time: 5:30p - 7:30p

Location: Solar Arts by Chowgirls, 711 15th Ave NE

4th Annual Jr Iron Chef Competition

Come watch as middle school students and local chefs team up for an exciting to-chef style cooking competition! Four teams, each comprised of one chef and two students, will have one hour to create a recipe on the fly for a panel of judges. The winning team will win the title of 2018 JR IRON CHEFS and see their recipe added to the MPS lunch next next year!

This event is FREE and open to the public! Light appetizers will be provided by MPS Culinary & Wellness Services.

MPS Culinary & Wellness Services and the True Food Chef Council host this annual event to excite students about good food and cooking, and raise awareness for our district's shifts towards more healthy, fresh, scratch-cooked meals.

Thank you to our event sponsors for making this event possible: Chowgirls Killer Catering and Solar Arts by Chowgirls, Life Time Foundation, Alma: Cafe, Hotel Restaurant, Brasa Rotisserie, and Wedge and Linden Hills Co-op.
