We Are All Related Here is a documentary film that tells the story of the Yup'ik people of Newtok, Alaska, who must relocate their village due to erosion and flooding caused by global climate change. The film depicts the community consequences, including relocating and moving, t...hat can arise from global warming.
Viewers meet what the media are calling "climate refugees", and experience how their cultures and traditions are tested by the need to transition.
Researchers, climate scientists, and state planners provide information about legislative, natural, and funding challenges that the Yup'ik people face.
Check out the trailer and come to discuss what these changes mean to them and for us.
