February 15, 2020, Saturday - Birthday Party for Susan B. Anthony at Hennepin History Museum

Time: 9 AM – 7 PM

Location: Hennepin History Museum, 2303 Third Avenue S

Birthday Party for Susan B. Anthony

Join us in celebrating Susan B. Anthony’s 200th birthday!

Suffrage Artist in Residence Madeline Hansen will lead a day-long celebration honoring this leader in the movement for women’s right to vote. Over the course of the day, members of the public will participate in “The Cabinet Meeting” a reader’s theater play based on the premise that Susan B. Anthony is elected President and appoints a diverse set of accomplished women to her cabinet. Participants will read the play aloud under the direction of Madeline Hansen. The public is invited to participate in the reading, enjoy a piece of birthday cake, and sign Susan B. Anthony’s birthday card. The play will take place in the Great Room, which will be specially decorated for the occasion.

Claim your place in the cast! Scripts range from a couple of sentences to a page and a half. Individual registration is available at the link provided. To inquire about participating as part of a group or organization, please call Hennepin History Museum at 612-870-1329.

$8 / $5 Seniors and Students / free for Museum members
