Today at Mill City Farmers Market:  Pollinator Day!

Let's celebrate the pollinators that make all the delicious market food possible! Learn something new about bees and other pollinating insects from our community booths: Market Science and the MN Landscape Arboretum!

Product Planner: Arugula, beets, blueberries, baby bok choi, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, collards, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, garlic scapes, green beans, green onions, ground cherries, hakurei salad turnips, herbs, kale, kohlrabi, lavender, lettuce, melon, mint, microgreens, mushrooms, mustard greens, Nappa cabbage, oregano, pac choi, parsnips, radicchio, radishes (red and french breakfast), raspberries, rhubarb, okra, oregano, peppers (hot and sweet), potatoes, raspberries, spring onions, squash blossoms, salad mix, snap peas, snow peas, spinach, sweet corn, Swiss chard, thyme, tomatillos, zucchini and much more!

Mill City Cooks: 10:30-11AM Guest Chef Robin Asbell, author of ‘Great Bowls of Food’, will prepare a seasonal market meal in our FREE cooking demonstration, Mill City Cooks! Plus, join Robin before and after the demo for a book signing!

Kids' Activity: Power of Produce–PoP Club!- A seasonal vegetable tasting club for kids ages 5-12. Collect punches on trading cards and receive a $2 token to spend on produce at the market for tasting this Saturday’s vegetable! This season PoP will be at the market’s green Information Booth in the center of the market on the Chicago Mall.

Live Music: 11AM – 1PM MCFM welcomes Michael Keyes and Jim Krans playing roots and blues music in the music tent located near the Guthrie stairs.

Meet Your Vegetables: Sample fresh, seasonal veggie recipes created and prepared by Nutrition students at our Meet Your Vegetables booth, located at the top of the Chicago Mall. Our interns will be sampling Rainbow Chard and Cilantro with Fresh Ginger Dressing–grab a recipe and a sample and chat with medical professionals fromAllina Health, the program’s sponsor.
