April 23, 2016, Saturday - Junior Ranger Day at Mississippi River Visitor Center

Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm

Location: Mississippi River Visitor Center, 120 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul

Junior Ranger Day

Celebrate the 100th birthday of the National Park Service and the conservation success story of the Mississippi River! Earn your Mississippi Junior Ranger badge and the limited-edition, wooden Centennial Junior Ranger badge.

You can meet a real bald eagle, and talk to The Raptor Center (11am-12pm) about the comeback these iconic river birds have made from the brink of extinction. Learn to cast properly with Ranger Gordon, while learning about the fish found in the river. Examine real aquatic bugs who live at the bottom of the river, and capture a bug picture with our photo stand to take home.

(The Raptor Center will have their live bald eagle and three other raptors at the Visitor Center from 11am-12pm. All other activities continue until 2pm.) This program is free, open to the public, and no reservations are required.
