Joyce Carol Oates is a recipient of the National Book Award and the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in Short Fiction. She has written over 30 collections of short stories, eight volumes of poetry, innumerable essays and plays, and 56 novels, including the national bestsellers We Were the Mulvaneys, Falls, and Blonde. She is a Professor of Humanities at Princeton University and has been a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters since 1978. A Widow’s Story is a poignant, intimate memoir about the unexpected death of her husband of 46 years and its wrenching, surprising aftermath.
Talk of the Stacks is a reading series exploring contemporary literature and culture.
This program is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 6:15pm.
