February 25, 2017, Saturday - 2017 Minnesota AIDS Walk at Boom Island Park

Time: 3p-7p

Location: Boom Island Park

2017 Minnesota AIDS Walk

Since 1983, Minnesota AIDS Project (MAP) has been a leader in Minnesota’s fight against HIV through prevention, advocacy, awareness and services. Our work provides the resources necessary to prevent HIV and paves the way to a Minnesota where new HIV infections are eliminated and those living with HIV live long, healthy lives.

We believe this cause belongs to all of us and that it takes the power of community to make true progress. We walk for our loved ones, for our neighbors, for the stories of strangers. We walk to educate. We walk to breathe new truths into tired stigmas. We walk for a cause that belongs to all of us. That’s why we walk, and that’s why we ask you to walk with us.

Join the Minnesota AIDS Walk this winter for a multi-sensory immersion in poetry, music, interactive art and more. By the glow of candlelight at dusk, we’ll embark on a tranquil walk along Boom Island, closing with a transformational vigil. With full hearts and reflective minds, we’ll celebrate the progress we’ve made and will continue to make—united in the fight against HIV.
