During the August 1 Mill City Farmers Market, Lacy Shelby and other representatives from the City of Minneapolis department of Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED) manned a booth sponsored the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) to gather feedback from shoppers on the Pathways to Places project. This is a collaborative project with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and the City, which will guide future improvements to downtown streets, pathways and parks.
On Monday, August 10, CPED will be hosting a public meeting to discuss the Downtown Public Realm Framework Plan from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Central Library.
The DMNA is a valued MCFM sponsor. Their annual contribution funds the weekly live music performances at the Market. They promote the common good and general welfare of the residents, businesses, and employees of Downtown Minneapolis. There are a number of ways you can be a part of it. Check out their Get Involved page, which lists ways to engage with the DMNA, as well as volunteer opportunities in the downtown neighborhoods.
